PORT ANTONIO, Monday, July 17 – The Port Antonio Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) has successfully arrested and charged a suspect in connection with the murder of Robert Grant, a prominent businessman from Harper Lane, Port Antonio. The suspect, Rishton Ramah, also known as ‘Gaza’, is a 28-year-old tattoo artist residing on Red Hassel Road in the Portland parish capital.
According to eyewitness reports, the tragic incident unfolded on Monday, July 17, around 4:05 pm when Robert Grant was conducting business at a store on Harbour Street. It was at this moment that Ramah allegedly attacked Grant with a knife, leading to a confrontation between the two individuals.
During the altercation, Ramah reportedly inflicted several wounds to Grant’s upper body. The authorities were quickly alerted to the scene, and Grant was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical assistance. However, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he was later pronounced dead.
