The 911 call made by Jamaican Jellisa Baxter, who is accused of killing her three-year-old daughter in Florida, to report the child’s death has been made public by American police.
The 24-year-old and the 911 operator speak for 22 seconds on the audio clip, during which Baxter describes the grisly deed.
After the event on Tuesday, which resulted in the young mother’s arrest and charges of first-degree murder and severe child abuse, the audio was made public.
When she appeared in court on Wednesday, the bond was rejected.
Baxter is a native of Clarendon’s Frankfield neighborhood.
This week, TalkUpDiTingsDem News learned that the woman’s mother had recently passed away and that she had received an eviction notice for her North Miami Beach apartment days before the death of her three-year-old daughter.
According to the North Miami Beach Police Department, Baxter was taken into custody on Tuesday without a hitch. The little girl’s corpse was close, and she was in her apartment’s living room dressed in a white robe.

Yes, I just murdered my kid, Baxter said.
Dispatcher: Your daughter’s age, please.
Baxter: 3.
Dispatcher: How did you murder your daughter, by the way?
Baxter: I attempted to choke her. I used a knife to stab her in the neck and chest but that didn’t work.
