The shocking case unfolds as a 14-year-old teen threatens cops with a knife during a curfew breach.
Legal drama ensues in Harbour View

In a startling turn of events, a 14-year-old has landed in legal hot water after allegedly defying a
curfew and brandishing a knife at law enforcement officers who instructed her to return home.

The incident unfolded in Harbour View, where a strict curfew occurred from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The young defendant, accompanied by her mother, admitted guilt to breaching the curfew order during
their appearance in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court. Reports indicate that on March 21, police encountered the teenager on the streets and instructed her to abide by the curfew regulations. However, she defiantly refused.

“Anuh dat, come lick me,” she reportedly challenged the officers before menacingly drawing a knife from her waistband, aiming it towards them. Shockingly, her mother was present during this altercation. Both were promptly apprehended for curfew violation, while the teenager faced additional charges of carrying an offensive weapon and assault at common law.

Parish Judge Jacqueline Wilcott has called for a comprehensive social enquiry report to aid in determining appropriate sentencing for the mother and daughter duo. Despite admitting to the curfew breach, the teenager has pleaded not guilty to the charges of wielding a weapon and assault.

The case is set to reconvene on June 27 for its conclusion, as legal proceedings continue to unfold.
