In line with the Law Reform (Zones of Special Operations) Special Security and Community Development Measures Act, a curfew has been enforced in Tivoli Gardens in the Kingston Western Division.
The curfew, which followed a violent outburst in parts of West Kingston and the neighborhood, went into force at 6:00 p.m. on February 11 and will last until 6:00 p.m. on February 13 (Monday).
The curfew’s restrictions are as follows:
North: Along Spanish Town Road from Industrial Terrace’s intersection to Matthews Lane and Heywood Street’s intersection;
East: From the intersection of Spanish Town Road and Matthews Lane to the junction of Water Lane;

South: Continue down Water Lane from the Matthews Lane intersection into Marcus Garvey Drive until you reach the Industrial Terrace intersection;

Travel west along Industrial Terrace, from the intersection with Marcus Garvey Drive until the junction with Spanish Town Road.

All people inside the curfew zone must stay inside their buildings during certain times unless the ground commander has given them written permission to leave.

The Law Reform (Zones of Special Operations) Special Security and Community Development Measures Act has also mandated a 72-hour curfew in certain parts of Denham Town. Beginning on Saturday, February 11 at 6:00 p.m., the curfew will last until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14.

The curfew’s restrictions are as follows:

Both the northern and eastern portions of Race Course Lane, traveling south along the paved gully and continuing to the intersection of Williams Street and Upper Rose Lane; and along Race Course Lane (Blount Street) from the intersection of Little King Street traveling to the fence line forming the Golden Heights Housing Development.

East: Traveling south down Rose Lane from the William Street intersection to the crossroads of Rose Lane and Beeston Street.

South: From Rose Lane, take Beeston Street west to the intersection with Spanish Town Road, then take Spanish Town Road southwest to Little King Street (excluding the Denham Town High School and Denham Town Police Station).

West: From Spanish Town Road via Little King Street to Race Course Lane’s junction (Blount Street).

All people inside the curfew zone must stay inside their buildings during certain times unless the ground commander has given them written permission to leave.
