A member of the Jamaica Defence Force, believed to be an officer in the army, was shot dead this morning in Millsborough, Saint Andrew.

According to TalkUpDiTingsDem News, he was on his way home at about 5 a.m. when he attempted to stop a robbery in the vicinity.

He was slain next to his automobile.

Officers are currently on the site of the homicide.
