Today at the Mount Salem Community Centre in Montego Bay, St. James, the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services TODSS will host the sixth in a series of town hall discussions on the revised Road Traffic Act.
It is set to start at 2:00 PM.
Representatives of the St. James Municipal Corporation, the St. James police, and the Road Safety Unit are anticipated to attend the consultation, which is being held under the topic “Ready for the Road under New Law and Order.”
Within the given three months, TODSS plans to submit a report to the government outlining its primary concerns with the Road Traffic Act, which “may call for an international probe of the new Road Traffic Act,” according to TODSS President Egeton Newman.

Transport companies and the government have experienced some conflict over the revised Road Traffic Act.

Delroy Chuck, the minister of justice, is one of the ministers with whom Newman has met to discuss the present law and prevent any delays in the transportation industry.
