‘He was Guiltless’: Family Mourns Man Slain in Windsor Heights Confrontation with Police

A relative of one of the four men who were shot and killed during a reported confrontation with the police in Windsor Heights, St. Catherine is this morning claiming her nephew was an innocent man.
Dead are 16-year-old, Deandre Channer a high school student of McGregor Gully, Mountain View Kingston. The police say he was a high-ranking member of the Burgher Gully Gang.
Also dead is another member of the Burgher Gully gang, 21-year-old, Romario Brewster of Burgher Avenue, Rollington Town, Kingston 3.
A wanted man 22-year-old, Nigel Adams of Sarah Street, Kingston was also shot and killed by the police. He was wanted for murder and shooting in the Central Kingston Police Division.
A 24-year-old, laborer from the Zambia district, Central Village, in St Catherine, Patrick Brown, was killed in the incident.
Brown’s aunt told (TalkUpDiTingsDem) that the police should not have killed her nephew, who she explained was not a wanted man.
In the meantime, Head of the Constabulary’s Corporate Communications Unit, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay says three guns were seized in the operation.
