After a video went viral on Wednesday depicting a fight between a man and a woman at a graduation ceremony, the Brown’s Town police detained and charged a guy from St. Ann.
Following the start of an inquiry into the altercation, the man, who has been identified as 43-year-old Gary Grant, also known as Jawbone, of a Browns Town address, was charged with assault causing bodily harm.
It is reported that Grant attended a graduation ceremony for an early childhood centre Wednesday at 12:30 pm at the same time as a woman at the town’s church auditorium. He had a graduating son.
The child allegedly got accolades for their academic prowess, and Grant reportedly asked the mother to show him the certificates. According to reports, a dispute arose.
The brawl is captured on camera before others step in to put an end to it.
When he arrived at the police station, he was charged and given surety bail.
Grant has a September 2023 court date scheduled.
