After a fight broke out at a school in Westmoreland on Monday, detectives from the Savanna-la-Mar Police Station detained and charged a 15-year-old boy with intentionally wounding a nine-year-old boy.
According to reports, a fight broke out between two youngsters who were playing football at around 7:30 p.m.
According to reports, the 15-year-old stabbed the nine-year-old in the chest with a knife. Residents helped him go to the hospital, where he was treated and hospitalized in critical condition.
After an interview, the 15-year-old was brought to the Savanna-la-Mar Police Station and charged.
His court appearance has been scheduled.
