We have gotten reports that the Westmoreland police division is now in the process of investigating a horrific shooting that left a young man dead and an elderly man in the hospital nursing injuries after men invaded his home in Westmoreland on Saturday night.
The young man that was shot and killed, is identified as Delano Gayle of Whithorn district, Westmoreland, a 19-year-old construction worker.
According to reports we got from the police
Gayle was at his home with a relative, and it is said that around 11:40 pm a group of armed men broke into the premisses and open fire on the occutants.
The elderly man was hit and Gayle was also hit several times.
They were both taken to the hospital and the elderly man was treated, unfortunetly Gayle was pronounced dear on arival.
The police have started their investigation to try and establish a motive for the attack.
