In a devastating turn of events, Grants Pen, St Andrew, has witnessed yet another tragedy, with
two lives lost in a shocking shooting spree that has sent shockwaves through the community.

This marks the third killing in just over a day, leaving residents in a state of fear and disbelief.

Shooting Spree Shakes Grants Pen

Just a day after the killing of a man who is said to be a brother of the popular dancehall
entertainer Jahshii, Grants Pen, St Andrew, found itself amid chaos once again. On a fateful
Sunday afternoon, three individuals became victims of a senseless act of violence while working
on a construction site on Shortwood Lane in the area at approximately 3:10 pm.

Preliminary information suggests that these innocent victims were diligently carrying out their
work when a group of armed assailants on foot opened fire, abruptly ending two lives.

A third victim was rushed to a hospital for urgent medical attention, clinging to life.

A Desperate Escape

The attackers, determined to evade justice, made a swift getaway in a waiting motorcar.
However, their desperate escape took a dangerous turn when the police, responding promptly
to the scene, spotted the vehicle in the Richmond Park area of St Andrew. A harrowing shootout
between the criminals and law enforcement ensued, resulting in the car crashing and its
occupants fleeing the scene, leaving behind a firearm.

A Tragic Pattern Emerges

This heart-wrenching incident comes on the heels of another tragedy just the day before when Jahshii’s brother fell victim to a surprise attack by gunmen. Reports indicate that the entertainer’s brother was at home when a group of armed men descended upon the location. Within minutes, the area echoed with the sounds of gunfire, and the police were called to the scene, discovering the lifeless body of the victim.

This grim occurrence follows a similar incident in July of this year when a motor vehicle carrying Jahshii and his entourage was ambushed by armed men on Constant Spring Road, also within St Andrew. In that incident, six males, all purportedly members of the entertainer’s entourage, suffered gunshot wounds, but miraculously, the entertainer himself escaped unharmed.

Jahshii’s Involvement in Ongoing Murder Investigation

Jahshii, known for his music career, has found himself in the headlines beyond the realm of music due to his association with an ongoing murder investigation. In June, the police expressed a keen interest in speaking to the ‘Born Fighter’ deejay, believing that he could assist in their investigations regarding the death of 45-year-old businessman, Omar ‘Romie’ Wright, in Grants Pen on June 7 of this year.

In response to the police’s inquiry, Jahshii voluntarily turned himself into the Constant Spring police, accompanied by his legal representatives, Peter Champagnie and Richard Lynch. After thorough questioning by investigators, he was subsequently released by the police in connection to the June 7 murder
