A man from West Kingston accused of killings in 2021, including that of a mortician

The Kingston Western police have charged a man with two counts of murder, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, and wounding with intent arising from an incident that occurred on August 4, 2021.
Charged is Damaine Lloyd, 22, laborer of Pink Lane in Denham Town, Kinston 14.
The persons who were killed in the incident were Gemel Blackwood, otherwise called ‘Gunners’, 23, unemployed of North Street in Denham Town, Kingston 14; and Kareem Anderson, otherwise called ‘Gadhafi’, 32, a mortician of North Street, Denham Town.
Reports are that at about 11:30 pm on the day of the incident, a group of men entered a premise armed with guns.
The men shot and killed both now-deceased men, and injured a woman in the process.
Both of the male victims were pronounced dead at the Kingston Public Hospital, while the woman was treated and released.
Lloyd was charged after a question-and-answer interview with investigators in the presence of his attorney on Wednesday, March 1.
His court date is not yet available.
