Breaking News: Gun Violence Incident in Kingston 2 Leads to Arrest – Suspect ‘Dessie’ Facing Multiple Charges
In a recent incident on Leaneral Street, Kingston 2, a shocking case of gun violence unfolded, leading to the arrest of a thirty-three-year-old individual known as ‘Dessie’ or Romero James from Belvedere Road in Red Hills, St. Andrew. The suspect, along with an accomplice, allegedly opened fire on another man, causing serious harm.
According to reports from the Elletson Road Police, the distressing event occurred around 9:20 pm on Friday, April 07. The victim, after being shot, attempted to flee but was pursued relentlessly. Eventually, he collapsed near a police station, where immediate medical attention was provided, saving his life.
The police acted swiftly, and on Tuesday, July 25, James was apprehended. An identification parade was conducted, during which he was identified as a suspect in the heinous crime. As a result, he now faces several charges, including wounding with intent, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, and unauthorized possession of ammunition.
This incident has raised concerns about gun violence in the area, prompting authorities to take decisive action. The suspect’s court appearance is imminent, and the community eagerly awaits justice to be served.
