Arrests Made
In a significant breakthrough, the Kingston West Police have successfully arrested and charged three men involved in a heart-wrenching murder case that occurred near Anthony Road, Kingston 5. The incident, which took place on Saturday, March 20, 2021, sent shockwaves through the community.

The suspects, identified as 20-year-old Jermaine Hamilton (alias ‘Alex’), residing on Rousseau Road, Kingston, 30-year-old Kerron Pryce (alias ‘Zeeks’), a higgler from Magazine Lane, Bog Walk, St. Catherine, and 26-year-old Damion Walker (alias ‘Shines’), a bus conductor from Lincoln Way, Heartsease, St. Thomas, are now facing charges of murder, illegal possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of ammunition.

The victim, 30-year-old Rushane Ashley (alias ‘Blackie’), was standing at his gate among a group of people when a motorcar carrying all three suspects approached. Tragically, the armed men opened fire, claiming Ashley’s life before fleeing the scene.

Hamilton and Pryce were already in custody for other offences when they were subsequently charged following thorough interviews. On the other hand, Walker was recently arrested after reporting on bail conditions at the Yallahs Police Station. He faced charges on Thursday, July 27, following a comprehensive question-and-answer session with his attorney present.

Stay tuned as we provide updates on this developing story and a court date for the suspects is being finalized. The community seeks justice, and the Kingston West Police are determined to bring closure to this harrowing case.
