An ambush by gunmen at Caymanas Gardens, St. Catherine, late Monday resulted in the shooting death of an ex-policeman and three other people being hurt.
Donovan McLean, a 33-year-old businessman and former member of the Jamaica Police Force, has been named as the deceased.
According to reports, three males in a Toyota Axio automobile who were carrying firearms pulled up and stopped in front of McLean and a group of individuals as they were at a car wash. The shooters then drove off in their car.
The injured McLean and three other injured males were discovered after the police were called.
When they arrived at the hospital, McLean was already dead when the other three were admitted.
