After a police officer got engaged in a fight between a cab driver and another driver on Sunday, there was a non-fatal gunshot involving the police.
According to reports, the two cars were involved in an accident at the intersection of Mountain View Avenue and Windward Road in East Kingston at around 10:30 am.
One of the fighters is supposed to have assaulted the policeman after he interfered and identified himself as a law enforcement officer; the policeman then shot the accused attacker.
The event was confirmed by the police’s corporate communications unit (CCU).
The incident is being looked into by the police and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
