UPDATE: A two-vehicle collision in St. Thomas claims three lives.

Two taxi drivers and an accountant are now dead after a two-vehicle collision in St. Thomas on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been named by the police as taxi drivers Maurice Hinds, 41, and Derrick Burgher, 61, and accountant Errol Taylor, 61, of a Pembroke Hall address in Kingston 20.


Burgher was from Lloyd’s neighborhood in Yallahs, St. Thomas, whereas Hinds was from Retreat in St. Thomas.





Seven other persons suffered injuries and were sent to the hospital for care.

According to reports, two Toyota Probox automobiles were traveling in opposing directions along a stretch of the South Coast Highway in St. Thomas on Tuesday at around 6:40 p.m.
