Tragic Incident Unfolds: Husband and Wife Fatally Shot Inside Vehicle on Windward Road, Kingston

The victims have been identified as Heather Moysten, a 59-year-old administrator at Digicel Jamaica residing in Smokey Vale, St. Andrew, and Wesley Moysten, a 41-year-old individual from the same address. This devastating incident has garnered attention not only due to its tragic nature but also due to the individuals involved.
According to authorities, the couple was travelling in a white Honda motor vehicle along Windward Road when the incident took place. The unfortunate turn of events transpired at a traffic light junction, where the vehicle came to a sudden stop. It was at this moment that a series of loud explosions shattered the peace of the night.
Passers-by, alarmed by the abrupt halt and subsequent noises, promptly contacted the police for assistance when the vehicle remained motionless.
Initial police reports reveal a distressing scene. Heather Moysten was discovered in the driver’s seat, her posture indicating a gunshot wound to the left side of her head. Tragically, her injuries proved fatal, and she succumbed to them while being transported to the hospital by the police.
In a parallel tragic fate, Wesley Moysten was found slumped in the left front passenger seat, with unmistakable signs of a gunshot wound to his head. Regrettably, he was pronounced deceased upon reaching the medical facility.
The authorities, responding swiftly to the situation, conducted a search of the scene. Among the findings was a firearm, accompanied by a magazine containing eighteen 9mm rounds. This discovery serves to intensify the already grim circumstances surrounding this incident.
