A man, who served a prison sentence for robbery and was freed in January, was back in jail on Monday after robbing a woman on Sunday as she was traveling to church in downtown Kingston.
When Andre Downer came before Judge Lori-Ann Montague Cole at the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court, she sentenced him to three years in jail.
The woman is said to have been robbed of $800 and a cell phone on Sunday morning when she was in downtown Kingston.
Downer was ultimately apprehended and hauled before the court on Monday after an alert was raised.
