Police Officer killed by his own wife

In their house in Somerset, Manchester, on Monday night, a police officer was reportedly shot and murdered by his wife after what is thought to have been a personal quarrel.
Although the specifics of the incident are currently vague, it is known that Constable Damien Blair, the deceased, was a member of the Manchester Police Division.
The Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the police’s communication division, was called but could not confirm the occurrence or offer any other information.
Nonetheless, reports claim several incidences of domestic abuse in the couple’s relationship.
According to early accounts, Blair and his wife had a physical disagreement shortly after 6 o’clock.
The community’s residents afterward reported hearing loud explosions to the police.
Law enforcement officers arrived and discovered Blair with what looked to be several gunshot wounds, while his wife had visible knife wounds.
Blair was declared dead at the hospital after they were both helped there.
The wife was hospitalized while being guarded by cops.
The development is being looked into by the Manchester police.
