On his birthday, a man was drinking and playing dominoes with his buddies when he was shot and died.
Jason Ivy, a resident of Waterford, St. Catherine, was having a birthday celebration on Sunday when he was approached by armed men at 6:00 p.m.
He was attacked and shot several times on Mystic Way in Waterford, and after being taken there, he was declared dead.
During the incident, an elderly woman who was nearby fainted and was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.
A second man was also shot in the arm and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, the old woman fainted because she was so startled by the loud blasts and horrible behavior.
Since October of last year, the village of Waterford, Portmore, has been tranquil. Fearing retaliation, the police are working hard to keep the calm in the neighborhood.
