On Monday, June 26, the St. Catherine North Operational Support Team (OST) and Quick Reaction (QR) team responded quickly, and their efforts were greatly successful, according to the police high command.
According to reports, the Jamaica Eye team contacted the St. Catherine North Police at around 6:00 pm and provided information on a possible vehicle.
The Toyota Axio automobile, which had two males and a teenage girl inside, was stopped along St. Johns Road in the parish.
During a check of the passengers and the vehicle, a Glock 9mm handgun with two magazines and 19 9mm rounds was discovered inside.
The three were then taken into custody. Their names are being kept a secret till more research is done.
A Nissan AD Wagon was also found in the Spanish Town neighborhood of Angels thanks to the patrols’ enhanced vigilance. According to reports, the car was taken from the parish’s Portmore neighborhood.
The police humbly ask for the public’s assistance as they stay steadfast in their mission to purge the nation’s streets of firearms, gangs, and gunmen.
