A tense dispute over illegal electricity connection took a deadly turn this morning in Tavern, Papine, Kingston, leaving 57-year-old Norris Farquharson, a Jamaica Public Service (JPS) contractor, dead.

According to police reports and chilling CCTV footage, Farquharson was fatally shot multiple times by a licensed firearm holder, who is also his neighbour. The incident unfolded just after 7:00 AM and has left residents of the usually quiet community stunned.

The CCTV footage shows the licensed firearm holder chasing Farquharson while yelling at him to “leave his yard.” Seconds later, multiple gunshots rang out, hitting Farquharson in the upper body. He died on the scene.
