On Tuesday morning, authorities discovered a Jamaica Defense Force (JDF) soldier dead along Kingston’s Palisadoes main road.
Sekou W. Medder, 30, at an address on Anderson Road in Kingston 5, is the person whose identity is known.
According to reports, the soldier may have killed himself.
They discovered the soldier’s body unresponsive with a single gunshot wound to the head inside his military Prado service car.
He is holding a licensed firearm, and blood is all over his outfit.
Medder allegedly appeared on CISOCA’s watch list due to authorities actively investigating his relationship with a woman who was, unfortunately, not old enough to give consent.
Sekou Medder was also facing charges of sexual grooming and grievous sexual assault.
The child is 12 years old.
The incidents reportedly happened on July 21, 2024 and July 29, 2024.
Investigators are currently on the scene.
