A shocking incident has rocked the community in Toronto, Canada. A 14-year-old boy has been charged
with double murder and seven counts of attempted murder following a shooting on June 2, which claimed
the lives of two Jamaican men, Delroy ‘George’ Parkes, 61, and Seymour ‘Tappa’ Gibbs, 46. Both men, originally from St. Ann’s Bay, Jamaica, were among five individuals who were shot that night in the parking lot of North Albion Collegiate Institute in northwest Toronto.

14-year-old boys Incident Details:

The tragic event unfolded around 10:53 pm when someone ambushed nine men who had gathered in the
parking lot after a game of football. According to the Toronto Police Service (TPS), a dark pickup
truck drove into the lot, and two suspects exited the vehicle, opening fire on the group before
fleeing the scene. Gunfire struck five men; Parkes succumbed to his injuries shortly after
reaching the hospital, and Gibbs passed away three days later due to complications.

Police Investigation:

In a crucial update, TPS described the shooting as random. The next morning, on June 3, officers investigating a stolen vehicle in the same area discovered a connection to the shooting. A stolen truck had collided with a parked vehicle, leading to the arrest of a youth after a brief foot pursuit. Investigations revealed that the teenager was one of the suspects who had committed the double murder.

Court Appearance: for the 14-year-old

The 14-year-old suspect appeared in court earlier this week. This tragic case has left the Jamaican community in Toronto grieving and seeking justice for the senseless loss of two beloved members.
