UPDATE: Family knows suspect in rape, death of 9-year-old Hanover child – Police

The family is aware of the suspect being held in connection with the rape and murder of nine-year-old Nikita Noel in Hanover, according to Area One Assistant Commissioner of Police Clifford Chambers.
According to ACP Chambers of OBSERVER ONLINE, “there are indicators that there could have been some household related concerns, which are also being looked at as the investigations evolve.”
He stated that it was possible that the suspect and Noel are linked.

According to reports, Noel, an Esher Primary pupil, skipped Wednesday afternoon dismissal and never made it home.
Later, her body was discovered a few meters from her house.
Noel is said to have been raped before being fatally strangled.
