Cops arrest two teens relative to break-ins in Port Maria, St Mary
Charges said to be pending against the duo
The St Mary police are reporting that charges are pending against two 18-year-old men who are believed to be behind a spate of break-ins in the Port Maria area of the parish.

The teenagers, whose identities are being withheld at this point, were apprehended on Wednesday morning relative to some six break-ins over two days last month.
Reports are that a police team was on patrol in Port Maria when the two young men were seen standing near a shop acting in a manner that aroused the suspicion of the law enforcers.
The teenagers were accosted and searched. A steel cutter was subsequently found near the duo.
Further investigation led to the two teenagers emerging as suspects in a break-in at a nearby establishment, where the police said an undetermined sum of cash was reportedly stolen.
The teens were subsequently arrested.
After their arrest, the police conducted a follow-up operation at a premises in Parry Town, St Ann, which
was said to be occupied by an associate of the suspects. Despite several stolen items being found at the
premises, the police said no further arrest was made.
The police reported that the two teenagers who were arrested in St Mary were interviewed and have since
been linked to six previous cases of break-ins between November 12 and 13, 2024.
A probe remains ongoing into the overall developments.
