St. Ann hotel heist staged by gunmen; high-level investigation starts

A heist at the St. Ann Hotel’s front desk is being looked into by detectives from the St. Ann Police Division and professionals from the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Branch (C-TOC).
According to reports, a gang of males entered the hotel’s office at 3 am on Friday, demanded money, and then robbed the on-duty night manager of some cash.
No visitors or any employees who were working at the place were hurt.
They reportedly accosted a couple at the gate as they were leaving the property and demanded money. Refusing their demand, the couple headed to the police station to file a complaint.
The guys opened fire before leaving the area on foot. Nobody was hurt.
The detectives are vigorously exploring some early leads they have in the investigation.
Anybody with information is urged to phone the local police station, the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) Tip Line at 811, Crime Stoppers at 311, or police emergency at 119.
