On Thursday, February 24, the Saint Andrew Central police conducted a vehicle checkpoint operation on Dunrobin Avenue in Kingston and seized three firearms and a number of rounds of ammunition.

According to reports, the team was on an operation in the region at around 8:15 p.m. when a car was stopped for violations of the Road Traffic Act.

One.357 Magnum with six.38 rounds, one 9mm Beretta with eight 9mm bullets, and one Glock 17 with ten 9mm cartridges were discovered after the automobile was searched.

The five people inside the car, including a woman, were detained pending additional inquiries.
