A man, who was charged with vandalizing multiple automobiles in a St. Andrew neighborhood, was forced to take sanctuary in Matilda’s Corner police station on Monday as he tried to flee an enraged mob.

There are also reports that the man got into additional legal issues only moments after escaping the crowd because he allegedly stole a police uniform and tried to exit the police station looking like an officer.

According to sources, the suspect came dangerously close to escaping but was eventually apprehended after raising the suspicion of a vigilant police officer with his behavior and looks.

The man allegedly destroyed 12 automobiles in the Sandy Park neighborhood, according to locals.

He apparently rushed into Matilda’s Corner police station as a group of guys tried to capture him after noticing what he was doing.
