On Tuesday, what is thought to be Menelek Youngsam’s body was discovered in a part of St. Catherine.
Youngsam was added to the police’s wanted list after appearing in a number of films that went viral over the weekend while brandishing a gun and threatening both the police and other individuals.
According to reports, locals in Kitson Town, St. Catherine, found the corpse at about 2pm in an area of Paul Mountain. It was shot many times.
Yet, neither the police nor the family have provided an official statement on the discovery.
The finding came hours after the police searched areas of Clarendon that they suspected Youngsam had frequented.
After earlier identifying him as a person of interest, detectives belonging to the Clarendon Criminal Investigations Section identified Youngsam as sought.
According to sources, Young-sam was also a local artist who appeared in a number of music videos before he allegedly started committing crimes.
