The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Narcotics Division is now looking into the Thursday, December 15 operation that resulted in the discovery of over 1500 pounds of marijuana near Bull Bay, St. Andrew.

According to reports, a joint police/military squad was conducting an operation in the region at around 10:45 p.m. when an Isuzu vehicle was stopped along the Bull Bay main road.

Compressed marijuana, which has a street value of almost US $2 million, was discovered during a search of the car.

Both the motor truck and the illicit substance were taken.

On the basis of a reasonable suspicion that he had violated the Dangerous Drugs Act, the motor truck driver was detained.

As the investigation goes on, his name is kept a secret.
