After allegedly being shot and having his home set on fire by unidentified assailants in Goshen, St. Elizabeth, on Saturday, A man is still in the hospital.
The police report claims that the man feigned to be dead after being assaulted and shot by the assailants who were driving a motorcar.
Although police investigations are still in the early stages, no specific motivation for the attack has yet been identified.
Residents reportedly called the police and firemen to the neighborhood just around 12:30 am after spotting smoke coming from the man’s one-bedroom home.
They found the injured guy outside the flaming building, suffering from what seemed to be gunshot wounds; the building was subsequently consumed by the fire.
Afterward, someone helped the injured guy go to the hospital.
The St. Elizabeth police have started a manhunt for the criminals implicated.
