Detectives returned to the scene on Roosevelt Avenue in Saint Andrew today, where an injured eight-year-old Danielle Rowe was discovered with her throat slit last Thursday.

She passed away two days later.

Fitz Bailey, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of crime, asked motorists who may have been in the vicinity on June 8 between 4pm and 5pm to review their dash cam footage for any sightings of a lady walking with little Danielle.

Closed-circuit video footage showed the woman with Danielle in the location where the girl was discovered.

DCP Bailey stated that the lady, who the police identified as a person of interest this week and issued a photograph of her created using an automated facial identification technology, was dressed in a multicolored shirt and blue panties or jeans.
The woman has a dark complexion, a thin form, is around 178 centimeters (5 feet 10 inches) tall, and looks to be in her early thirties.
Danielle was taken on June 8 from Braeton Primary and Infant School in Portmore, Saint Catherine, and was discovered on Roosevelt Avenue by a member of the Jamaica Defence Force.
Her throat was cut.
She was rushed to the hospital, where she died on June 10th.
