Since the new Road Traffic Act went into force on February 1, the police have issued e-tickets totaling approximately $35 million.
According to the constabulary, 5,533 of these citations were issued by the police in the first six days of February. 401 of those funds have already been distributed.
The police commissioner said that more e-ticket machines had been added to the police force during a recent JCF media meeting.
The total amount of traffic fines issued in 2018 over 2021 increased by 60%.


According to Major General Anderson, the police will soon implement more instruments for maintaining public order, such as decibels and tint meters.
