One passenger had this to say about the strike

Nuff a unu talking bad about taxi drivers ano every one a we a pussy to the thing… The drivers them not striking for an increase in fares they’re a lot going on that you ppl don’t know… The strike has nothing to do with the ppl of Jamaica 🇯🇲 that take a bus or taxi they’re plee and asking for the government to grant them an amnesty so they can pay for the outstanding tickets thats all… They’re begging the PM 

(1)for a payment plan

(2) no demerit points being taken 

(3) no prosecution be made

Thats all… It has nothing to do with passengers they’re lots of decent taxi drivers who have outstanding tickets who dress very well provide a nice clean car to travel in, play good music for everyone “some of them” and if anyone on this platform can attest that they’re good nice clean and decent TAXI DRIVERS out here that looks out for them on a daily basis some of you ppl being a hypocrite….. We go live to see COAST OF LIVING GO SKY HIGH and non of you protest about it or even try to BOYCOTT any  FOOD ITEMS or PRODUCTS.. unu go take that shit with a pill of salt… We Jamaicans always putting down each other because they not in the line of the field that the other person is in… Let us be true to our taxi DRIVERS

They work night and day even in the hours of night 😴 when lots of you are already home from work probably cooking or sleeping… In Jamaica the only source of any given time you can call or get a TAXI 

They’re our Heroes 🚖🚖🚖🚖🚖🚖🚖🚖
